A Quiet natural approach
Our approach has grown from years of quietly observing our Highland cattle. We began with a few Highlands as pets, attracted by their beauty, fascinating history and gentle temperament. As our fold grew, so did our appreciation for their individual personalities and the complex social relationships that develop with the group.

We raise our cattle with respect for their natural behaviour, gentle temperaments and strong social bonds. We believe Highland cattle bring something special to the lives of the people who share their lives with them – not simply for their beauty, but for their character.

Our fold remains together throughout the year, allowing us to observe the natural relationships between cows, calves and our bull. There is a quiet rhythm to life within the group, and we believe these relationships matter.
Some of our favourite moments aren’t busy at all.
Watching the fold graze together. A calf resting beside its mother. The quiet familiarity of animals who know their place in the group. These are the moments that made us fall in love with them in the first place.
What the fold has taught us

Life moves at a gentler pace
We’ve watched our calves grow within the security of the fold, cows form lasting bonds, and our bull quietly move among them. There is something grounding about watching those familiar patterns unfold.
We didn’t begin with a formula. We began by watching.
Nestled in the Mullyalyup Forest, our fold lives among open paddocks, native bushland and spring fed dams.
Here we enjoy watching the quiet rhythm of daily life unfold – mothers raising calves, the fold grazing together, familiar relationships developing and the changing seasons changing around them.
Over time, those observations have shaped the way we raise our cattle.
