Our new girl Freya joins our other 4 little heifers, (3 pictured), in the paddock. When they are old enough and at the right weight, they will join the main fold. We now have 8 cows, 5 heifers, 7 calves and 2 bulls on the farm and we’re loving it.
Our two new little heifers have arrived at Coppers Crossing. They are settling in well and they are delightful.
They will become part of our breeding flock when they are old enough – in about 12 month’s time.
Two of our Mums have had their calves for 2022. Pictured is Illusion with her boy calf and another boy calf born 2 weeks earlier to Taffy.
We will start calving in 2021 in September. Selling our calves to the best homes is important to us. So if you are interested in one of our calves we would firstly like to talk to you, and then arrange for you to visit to our farm. This allows us to show you our cows, discuss the nature and needs of a Highland Cow, and it helps us to understand what you are looking for in an animal. See how to get in touch on our contact details page. (We only sell our cows to people living in WA).
13/03/2021 SOLD to wonderful homes
We have two steers, (one red and one yellow), and one little yellow heifer looking for loving homes. Our fold are our beloved animal family and we only sell our calves as pets or breeders, not for their meat. It is important for potential new owners to come and visit our fold to understand the temperament of the cows and bull, as a calf will be your family member for 20 years or more.
They are very social, curious and gentle animals and they need to have at least one other cow as their friend in the paddock. They are due to be weaned June, July and September. Contact us on our farm if you are interested – John on: 9756 2776
We welcome to Coppers Crossing two new cows – Wildfire and Phoenix. They are settling in well with the fold, and showing quite an interest in our farm activities. We hope to introduce their calves later this year.
Welcome to Islay who is visiting us from Bridgetown. She’s here for a few weeks to meet Thunder, so she can have a calf. After only a few days here, Winter gave birth to a female calf. So, Islay has now had first hand experience about what to expect! Islay is a beautiful girl with a lovely calm nature and a quite a hairdo!
